Joyce K. (Dorn) Gerlach, 67, of Union, passed away March 6, 2016. Joyce was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 9, 1949 to the late Benjamin and Evelyn Dorn. Joyce retired from a telecommunications career in 2014. She was a life member of VFWA, MOCA, and a member of ALA for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, traveling, playing cards, word games, scrapbooking, sewing and visiting hospitalized veterans.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Thomas Gerlach; daughter, Holly Hoffman; sister, Benita Dorn; brother, Larry (Judy) Dorn; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 1pm - 2:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where funeral services will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
