Joyce D. Short

Joyce Dale Short, age 79 of Englewood, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 28, 2026. She was born January 24, 1947 in Hazard, Kentucky. The daughter of the late Norman and Agnes Turner.

Joyce was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an avid animal lover, cherishing her multiple cats over the years. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. Joyce was a devout Christian. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her life long partner, Ed Boyce; brothers, Rex Turner, Bill Turner, Gary Turner, and Barry Turner; and brother-in-law, Ronnie Fessenden.

She is survived by her children, Lisa (Bobby) Dyer, Linda Carmony, and Jim (Heather) Short; grandchildren, Maria (Dustin) Stapleton, Joshua (Charlotte) Short, Sara Dyer, and Sandra Dyer; many great grandchildren; sister, Carol "Angie" Fessenden; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
