Joshua D. Gant

Joshua D. Gant, affectionately known as Josh, left this world on February 3, 2026, after a life that illuminated the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. Born on July 19, 1991, in Dayton, Ohio, Josh was a shining example of compassion, warmth, and exuberance throughout his life.

A social butterfly at heart, Josh possessed an incredible gift for making connections with others. He truly knew no strangers, and his presence would enliven any gathering. His infectious energy and ability to light up a room made him the life of every party he attended. Beyond his vibrant personality, Josh was characterized by his generosity; he was the kind of person who would give anyone the shirt off his back.

Among his proudest accomplishments was his heartfelt acceptance of the Lord and his baptism in 2025, a milestone that underscored his deep spiritual journey and personal growth. This event reflected not only his faith but also his commitment to becoming a better person and a source of strength to those around him.

Josh leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his daughter, Aubrey Fitzwater, his mother, Penny Bowles, and his brothers, Stephan (Carissa) Wolfe and Shane (Heather) Davis. He is also survived by his cherished niece Jaidyn Wolfe and Amy Barnes.

In remembrance of Josh, those who loved him also hold dear the memories of family and friends who have passed on, including his grandparents, Thelma Wheeler and Vernon Baldwin, as well as his close friend, Dylan Krapf, and his cousin, Brittany Castle. Each of these individuals played a significant role in his life, and their legacies will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.

Though Josh is no longer with us, the light he brought into the lives of others will continue to shine brightly through the love and memories shared by those he left behind. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, spirit, and the deep connections he fostered throughout his journey.
