Joseph Scott Olson, affectionately known as "Joe," passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on October 27, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio, Joe lived a life rich in purpose and connection, marked by his unwavering dedication to family, career, and community.

Joe devoted the majority of his professional life to his career as a carpenter, where he brought his skills and craftsmanship to every project he undertook. His work ethic and commitment to quality were evident in all that he accomplished. He also served honorably in the United States Navy, a testament to his patriotism and sense of duty.

A man of many passions, Joe was an avid Miami Dolphins football fan. His enthusiasm for sports extended beyond being a spectator; he found joy in coaching pee wee football and wrestling for his hometown West Carrollton Pirates, sharing his love for these activities with young athletes whom he inspired and guided. His outgoing personality allowed him to connect effortlessly with others, and he never knew a stranger. Joe was known for his kindness and loving nature, though he also displayed a hard-headed and stubborn side that many came to know and appreciate.

Joe took great pride in being a father, a role he cherished deeply. He is survived by his sons, Bill (Maranda) Olson, Scotty (Alex) Olson, Randall Olson and 2 grandchildren, who carry forward his legacy and spirit. He is also survived by his brothers, Bill (Sheila) Olson, Mike (Nancy) Olson, and Timmy Olson, along with many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Joe was preceded in death by several beloved family members, including his grandfather, Claude Debord; grandmother, Bess Debord; mother, Jean Olson; father, Orville Olson; brother, Steven Olson; and sister, Vicki Diaz. Each of these individuals held a special place in his heart, and their memories will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.

As we reflect on the life of Joe, we celebrate a man whose legacy lives on through the love he shared, the lessons he imparted, and the indelible mark he left on the lives of those around him. He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and steadfast devotion to his family and friends.
