It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Joseph "Joe" Gough, who left this world on September 28, 2024, in Beavercreek, Ohio. Born on October 13, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, Joe was a cherished son, brother, husband, father, grandfather great-grandfather, friend. He proudly served his country as a veteran the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, a chapter of his life that underscored his commitment to his family and community.

Joe dedicated many years to his career at Lowe's, where he ultimately retired after a long and fulfilling tenure. His work ethic was a testament to his character, reflecting his dedication not only to his job but also to supporting his loved ones, which remained one of his proudest accomplishments. Joe graduated from Kiser High School and carried with him the lessons and friendships he built during those formative years.

In his personal life, Joe found joy and purpose in a variety of hobbies. An avid bowler, he achieved the remarkable feat of bowling seven 300 games, a testament to his skill and passion for the sport. His love for golf provided him with countless hours on the green, enjoying the spirit of competition and camaraderie. Additionally, Joe had a flair for cooking, delighting family and friends alike with delicious meals prepared with love.

He is survived by his beloved children, Michelle Christman (Fred) and Jason Gough; his grandchildren, Katie (Brian), Trinity, and Bryce (Markiah); and his cherished great-grandchildren, Carson, Asher, Brycen, and Oaklee. Joe is also remembered fondly by his sister, Missy Mahaffey; his brothers, Steve (Gail), Donald (Mary), Tom, and Peter (Tami); and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Joe joins his deceased family members in eternal rest: his parents, Wilbur and Florence Gough; his devoted wife, Susan Gough; and his sister, Diana Gough. The warmth of his laughter and the strength of his spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
