Joseph David Fornes

Joseph David Fornes, 66, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026. He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Maxine Franer Hartman, his step-sister Joan Hartman, and his adoptive parents, Vic and Helen Fornes.

Surviving are his biological step-brother, Dennis Franer of Aberdeen Ohio, his adoptive sisters Michelle Fornes of Ft. Myers, Fla., Dottie Tankersley of Englewood, Co., and his adoptive brothers Mark (Tammy) Fornes of Beavercreek, Ohio and Mike (Karen) Fornes of Mackinaw City, Mich.

Joe attended West Carrollton High School and enjoyed music, drawing and painting.

A graveside service will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Joe’s name to the Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services of Montgomery County, 409 E. Monument Ave. Suite 102, Dayton OH 45402.
