Joseph J. Dorsey III

Joseph J. Dorsey III, a beloved figure in the lives of many, passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on June 12, 1959, he was known not only for his successful career as a car salesman but also for his remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Joseph had a gift for conversation that made everyone feel at ease, and his genuine warmth drew many to him.

His personality was a blend of generosity, unique quirks, and endearing faults, including his sometimes questionable fragrance choices. Joseph possessed a humor that was distinctly his own—comforting those around him with laughter and good will. He was particularly fond of the holidays, with a special affection for Halloween and Christmas. Family gatherings were a highlight for Joseph, as he always arrived with an abundance of food to share, reflecting his nurturing spirit and Italian heritage.

Joseph was also an avid animal lover and a dedicated sports fan, showing unwavering loyalty to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He took immense pride in maintaining his lawn, showcasing his dedication to beauty and care in all aspects of his life.

He leaves behind a cherished family who will remember him fondly. His daughter, Brittany (Eric) Corcoran, and his son, Ryan (Jessica) Dorsey, continue his legacy alongside his beloved grandchildren: Brenna, Cara, and Rylee. Joseph is also survived by his mother, Carmenia Dorsey, his sister, Kelley (Ron) Evans, and his brother, Patrick (Theresa) Dorsey, along with many nieces and nephews who will carry forward the memories of his love and laughter.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Joseph J. Dorsey Jr., who he greatly admired and respected. His memory will remain alive in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him, as they recall the many ways he brightened their lives. Joseph J. Dorsey III will be missed dearly, but his spirit will continue to resonate through the stories and love shared by his family and friends.

Joseph will be laid to rest at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
