Johnny Ray Blankenship Jr.

Johnny Ray Blankenship Jr., age 61, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025. He was born on January 2, 1964 in Dayton, OH to the late Brenda and John Blankenship.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Blankenship and his son-in-law, Dougie Dunkle.

Johnny is survived by his children, Brandon Blankenship and Brittany (Casey Townsend) Blankenship; grandchildren, Kam'ron, Jordan, Makiah, Nevaya, Casey Jr., Ariah, Braxleigh and Brandon Jr.; his siblings, Debbie (Jim Yost) Blankenship, Denise (Gary) Miller and Lisa Basler; numerous family and friends. Johnny is also survived by his special niece, Nicole who he thought of as a daughter.

Johnny loved sports. He enjoyed coaching baseball and watching the Tennessee Vols. Johnny was quick witted and enjoyed making others laugh. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 2, 2025 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm with funeral service to follow, all at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.
