John W. Warner

John W. Warner, age 70, of Waynesville, peacefully passed away on July 18, 2026, at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Born on October 10, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the beloved son of the late Bud and Maxine Warner.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 47 years, Kay, and his daughters, Kimberly Adams and Amy Warner. He leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Clayton, Madison, and Gabriel Adams. He is also survived by his sister Diane Warner Harris and his brother Gary Warner, along with many nephews, cousins, and friends. John joins in rest his step-mother Alice Mae Warner, son-in-law Tim Edward Adams, and half-brother Larry Warner.

With a dedicated career at Vernay Labs spanning over two decades, John later retired from RELX (LexisNexis) after 15+ years of employment. He found joy in golfing, playing tennis, and traveling to places like Alaska with Kay. Above all, John treasured time spent with his family. Known for his wonderful sense of humor, he had a unique gift for making everyone feel special and he was deeply committed to his faith.

John's life was a testament to love, laughter, and devotion. His memory will be held dear by all who knew him.

His family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Davita Buckeye, especially, Dr. Siva Ambalavanan and nurses, Jodie and Jaima, for their care and compassion.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

John's family wishes to honor his memory by raising awareness of the importance of organ donation. Through his own health journey, John came to understand the profound impact organ donation can have on those awaiting life-saving transplants. Although his medical conditions ultimately prevented him from being placed on the transplant list, he knew many individuals who continued to wait and hope for the gift of life through organ donation. The family encourages others to learn more about organ donation, including living donation and registering as an organ donor, in the hope that more lives may be touched by this extraordinary gift.
