John A. Stratton

John A. Stratton, age 85 of Northridge, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017. He was born August 19, 1931 in Ivel, Kentucky to the late Marvin and Violet Stratton.
John served in the U.S. Navy as a Corpman during the Korean Conflict. John worked for Globe Industries for 30 years. He was the previous owner of the Green Leaf Inn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Marvin "Bird Dog" Stratton; grandson, Andy Joe; step-father, Ellisworth Quigley; half brother, Ellis Quigley and loving grandparents, John Kelly and Bertha Lee Stratton.
John will be missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Jeannie; children, Sherry (John) Grimmett, Roy "T-Bone" (Jodi) Stratton, Scott (Robin) Stratton; Jammie, Elizabeth, John Davis, J.J., Brittney, Curtis, Ryan, Maggie, Matthew, Eli and Abby; great-grandchildren, Lexis, Lacie, Trevor, Allyson, Kyleigh, Collin, Lincoln, Benjamin, Hayden, Baylor and Brecken; sister-in-law, Lois Quigley and many cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. Entombment Dayton Memorial Park. Celebration of Life at #746 Legion North Dixie.
