John M. Napier Sr.

John Milton Napier Sr., age 84, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Born on April 12, 1942, in Slusher, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Gus Napier and Helen Napier Adkins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Judi Loveall.

John graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1960 and dedicated 39 years of service to General Motors Inland. In his free time, John enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors. He was also an avid runner for most of his life. He was known for his simple nature throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Terry; his sons, John (Shannon) Napier Jr., Pat (Lori) Napier, and Matt (Lynn Lawson) Napier; seven grandchildren; Tyler (Cheyenne) Napier, Haley (Tyler) Cagle, Evan Napier, Eric Napier, Taylor Napier, Nicholas Napier, and Morgan Napier; as well as two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Charlotte and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
