John Maxwell Thomas, Sr., 80, passed away Jan. 26, 2016.
He was preceded in death by parents, Porter Thomas and Vivian (Ellis) Jackson; wife, Annette; brothers, Clark Leo, Alonzo R., Robert E., Frederick T. and Mark Anthony Thomas; sisters, Joan (Thomas) Simmons, Arlene E. McNeal, and Paulette I. (Thomas) Smith.
John is survived by children, John M. Jr., Alice M., Mable M., Faith L., Steven B., and David A. Sr. Thomas; sisters, Alice Lester, Barbara Thomas, Gwandine C. Thomas; brothers, Paul and Jeffrey L. Thomas; aunts, Mable Turns and Mary E. Jackson; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We would like to give a special thanks to Deborah Puente for the loving care she provided to John.
A visitation will be held from 12:30pm - 1:30pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton.
Funeral services will immediately follow with Sister Izetta Torina officiating.
Burial at Dayton National Cemetery.
