John Maupin

MAUPIN, John "Phil", age 67 of West Carrollton, passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2016. He was born in Hamilton, OH to the late Elzie and Doris Maupin. He worked for many years at General Motors, where he retired. He was an avid sports fan and loved to cheer on the Buckeyes. He exercised daily and took great pride in his fitness and health. He was a loving and caring father and doting grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his son, Ryan Maupin.

Phil is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Malia and William Pryor; granddaughter, Elin Pryor; sister, Janie (Jack) Hale; brother, Kirk (Donna) Maupin; nephew, Jeff Hale; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering at 2pm, where a visitation will take place two hours prior (12pm - 2pm). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phil's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
