John J. Delaberta III, age 55 of Riverside, Ohio went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2026. He was born June 10, 1970 in Dayton, Ohio. Son of the late John Delaberta Jr. and Carol (Croghan) Harowski.
Alongside his beloved wife, he embraced life as an adventure. Together they shared countless vacations, always ready for the next destination or memory to be made. John loved Kelly so much that he married her twice. He took immense pride in his family and considered them his greatest accomplishment. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he found his greatest joy in being present, showing up, and lending a hand. People knew they could count on him without hesitation. He never met a stranger, loud in the best way, his presence filled every room he entered. John was a Christian and faithful member of the Way of the Cross Church. John was a natural story teller, often long but always entertaining. He enjoyed life's simple pleasures, wandering Flea Markets in search of hidden treasures, trying his luck at the Casino "the office", bonfires in his backyard where he grew his garden, or simply mowing his yard. Although he is gone, the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the traditions he built, will continue on through all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kelly Delaberta; children, John Delaberta IV (Destanie), Kailey (Luke) Scott, and Jeremy Delaberta; He loved being called "Pap" by his grandchildren, Amilia, Preston, Gabriella, Madilynn, Bennett, and Evelynn; siblings, Allison Ryan, Melissa Worley, Darrin Worley, Dawn Hart, and Jennifer Goodman; friend and brother-in-law, Gary Walters; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends including his dog, Jasper.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward a memorial tree in John’s honor in the park he loved — a living tribute where family and friends can gather and remember him. Contributions can be made at:
