John David Isaacs, age 64, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully after a brief illness in his hometown on October 7, 2025. Born on May 21, 1961, in Dayton, John was a lifelong resident who deeply valued his community, his family, and his many friends.

John spent much of his life on the road as a professional truck driver, traveling across the country before choosing local routes that allowed him to remain close to those he loved. Known for his easy-going nature, sense of humor, and generous spirit, John built lasting friendships everywhere he went.

He was an avid sports fan who loved cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, collecting sports memorabilia, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

John was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church and found strength and fellowship in his faith.

He is survived by his son, Timothy John (Sara Marie) Isaacs; granddaughters, Madison Marie and McKenna Rae Isaacs; mother, Virginia Isaacs; sister, Elaine Isaacs; and cousins, Keith Stamper and Karen Scott. He was preceded in death by his father, Clay Isaacs, and his brother, James Isaacs.

John will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the love he shared with everyone who knew him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

A graveside service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025 at David's Cemetery, 4600 Mad River Road. Pastor Jerry Siler to officiate.
