John F. Hopson

John F. Hopson, age 77, passed away on November 25, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on August 15, 1948, in De Soto, Missouri, he lived a life characterized by service and compassion.

John spent many years at Dayton Children's Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist, where his expertise and dedication made an impact on the lives of countless patients. He was known not only for his professional skills but also for his caring demeanor that touched the hearts of those he worked alongside.

John proudly served in the United States’ Air Force. In addition to his career, John found joy in volunteering at the Humane Society, where he fostered many cats. John was an avid reader and loved photography.

John is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lorene (Speidel) Hopson and his brother, Robert Hopson. He is survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

John will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery.
