John Jeffrey Gummer

John Jeffrey Gummer, age 68 of Dayton, OH, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, January 13, 2018. He was born May 19, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana to John and Madona (Bauer) Gummer. He married Diannia Grooms on July 28th, 1973 in Dayton, OH.
Jeff was a long time resident of Dayton, OH and retired from Delco Products in 2000 after 30 years. He had a passion for Monte Carlo's, loved racing, NASCAR and all things mechanical. Jeff loved his wife of 44 years, Diannia, and his whole world revolved around her. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Jeff is survived by his wife and best friend Diannia; two daughters, Andrea and Sondra (Bryan Beaupre) Gummer; two grandchildren, Kelsey (Brad) Harvey and Matthew McDonald; a great granddaughter, Scarlett Harvey; a sister, Susan Diane Brown; a brother, Michael Joseph Gummer; and other numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Angela Renee Gummer.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation will be held on Monday two hours prior to the service from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
