John D Hunt, age 89 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014. He was born September 22, 1924 in Charleston, WV to the late James and Myrtle Hunt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florine Hunt; son, Garry Hunt; step-daughter, Linda (Darlene) Jackson; brother, Kenneth Hunt and sister, Ester (Peggy) Williams.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherrie Maple and fiancé, Gerald Sutherland; son, Johnnie Hunt; granddaughter, Tori Jeffers; 2 great-granddaughters, Brooklyn and Amberlynn Jeffers; other grandchildren, great-grandchildren; feline buddy, Charlie and many friends.
John loved to mess around in his garage and go to Trader's World for their biscuits and gravy. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
