John Courtney Johnson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on April 22, 2026, in Huber Heights, Ohio. Born on September 16, 1944, in Louisa, Kentucky, John lived a life marked by quiet dignity and a genuine love for those around him.

A devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds, John found joy in watching baseball, often sharing those moments with family and friends.  John was also committed Free Mason, a testament to his values of fraternity, integrity, and service to others.

John’s life was surrounded by the warmth of family. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Valerie Johnson, who stood by his side with unwavering love. He delighted in the presence of his great-grandchildren—Braden, Sammy, Madden, and Jordy—whose lives he watched with great affection and pride. His sister, Colen Sparks, and sister-in-law, Carolyn "Sue" Blair, also remain as cherished members of his family circle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Goldie Johnson, whose legacy he honored throughout his life. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Ann Johnson, whose memory he held dear. John also mourned the loss of his grandson, Andrew Leadford, a bond that lasted deep in his heart.

John will be laid to rest along side his late wife in a private family service in Kentucky at a later date. 

John Courtney Johnson’s passing was tenderly surrounded by those who loved him, a reflection of the enduring relationships and respect he garnered over the years. His quiet strength, gentle nature, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures leaves a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be remembered with great respect and affection by family and friends alike.
