John Thomas Burkhardt

John Thomas Burkhardt, age 77 of Beavercreek, passed away Friday, October 30, 2020. He was born January 19, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio the son of John and Mary Burkhardt.
John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, he even enjoyed flying planes after his time in the military. He loved working as an Electrician for local union IBEW 82 and General Motors for over 30 years, always encouraging others to become electricians. He enjoyed watching cooking shows, the news, and was known for his cooking. He also enjoyed traveling, even traveling across country. He was a loving husband, father, brother, Pop Pop and friend who will be dearly missed.
John is survived by his wife, Treba; children, Johnny Burkhardt & Tracy Wolfe; 4 grandchildren; 3 great granddaughters; siblings, Dorothy Massa, Otto (Janet) Burkhardt, William (Peggy) Burkhardt & Charlene Cook; step-daughter, Melissa (Mike) Gant; 2 step-grandchildren; his Yorkie, Izzy; and many other loving friends & family members.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Ann Burkhardt; parents; sister, Patsy Slonaker; and twin sister, Georgiana Ross.
