John Tallon Bokemeier

On August 2 We lost our John,

He had fought blood cancer for his last two years

He leaves behind his father Gene, sister Marie and myself brother Kevin

He was predeceased by mother Frances, stepmother Loretta, brother Brian and two partners Greg and Rick.

While in Dayton he worked at various Krogers and restaurants The Barnsider, Blue Berry Cafe and Wellington Grill with much fondness. I arrived for what was to be his final 3-4 weeks. John was forever cheerful and upbeat. On visits to Dayton Physicians & Premier Physicians infusion centers and Miami Valley South & Miami Valley hospital ER visits it was overwhelming the care and compassion he received from his numerous visits. 

We were grateful for we had John 6 weeks longer than expected and enjoyed beautiful drives in the country and the numerous restaurants we so enjoyed he had the biggest smiles just savoring them. 

We were grateful to find a loving home for his beloved dogs Sophia and Rover and they are being loved and cared for as much as John did, bringing us much peace for that.

 I was able to be by his side for his final days at Ohio Dayton hospice for his most peaceful passing.
