Joan "Jo" Wetzel
August 1, 1932 — April 2, 2017
Joan "Jo" Wetzel, 84, of Fairborn, passed away April 2, 2017. Joan was born in Covington, Kentucky on August 1, 1932 to the late Raymond and Nellie Meyer. She was a member of Ascension Church in Kettering for 60 years. In her free time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Jack G. Wetzel; daughter, Cheryl (John) Stancoven; sons, John (Cindy) Wetzel, Rick (Laura) Wetzel, Steven (Estella) Wetzel; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several other relatives and special friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 9:30 am-10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
