Jim Oldfield, beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on October 20, 1960, Jim’s life was marked by his unwavering devotion to his family and his steadfast commitment to his work.
Jim graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1979, a milestone that signaled the beginning of a life defined by hard work and perseverance. His professional journey began at Standard Register and The Trading Post, where he worked as a printer. Showing an entrepreneurial spirit and a fierce dedication to work hard, Jim later established his own business, Oldfield Spouting. This endeavor stood as a testament to his initiative and resilience, qualities that those who knew him valued deeply.
Those closest to Jim remember him as profoundly family-oriented—a man whose greatest joys came from loving and supporting his wife, children, and grandchildren. As a husband, he was a pillar of strength and tenderness for his wife, Theresa L. Oldfield. As a father, he was both a great source of encouragement and a constant presence for his children, Kyle (Jessica) Oldfield and Kayla Oldfield, cheering them on in all their pursuits. The bond he shared with his grandchildren, Jade and James Montgomery, was filled with warmth and pride.
Jim had a special love of music, both playing and listening. He found happiness in the accomplishments of his family members. He was a devoted fan of sports of all kinds, enjoying the thrill of the game and the camaraderie it inspired. Friends and family alike knew he would do anything for those he cared about, consistently offering his time, help, and unwavering support whenever it was needed.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Theresa L. Oldfield; his son, Kyle Oldfield, and daughter-in-law, Jessica Oldfield; his daughter, Kayla Oldfield; his cherished grandchildren, Jade Montgomery and James Montgomery; his mother, Charlene Oldfield, and his faithful companion Chewy. He is preceded in death by his father, James D. Oldfield, and his sister, Karen Oldfield.
Those who knew Jim will remember him not just for his achievements but for his generous spirit, steadfast character, and the deep love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy continues in the lives he touched and the memories cherished by all who loved him.
