Jill Saldana

Jill Saldana, age 59, of Beavercreek, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 24, 2026.

Born in Dayton, Ohio on June 16, 1967, Jill was the beloved daughter of Harold & Erika Hixson.

She worked for Defense Acquisition University and was awarded a certificate of recognition for over 30 years of service to the US Government in January of 2020. She was highly valued for all her contributions and received many other awards for her dedication, organization, and caring nature. She retired in 2025.

Jill enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and friends, hiking, going to concerts, and taking weekend trips. Her life was a living example of grace, kindness, and unselfish love. She believed that serving others was her highest calling, and she poured her heart into her family, friends, her church, and her beloved pets. To know Jill was to be loved by her. She never met a stranger, always offering a warm smile, a listening ear, and a prayer for others in need. She was a member of Hillside Chapel where she attended services and Bible studies, and she also attended Fairborn Aglow ministry meetings.

She is survived by her parents, Harold and Erika Hixson; husband, Gonzalo Saldana; sister, Dianne Hixson; sister, Michelle Lemley (Kendall); best friend, Tammy Riggs; niece, Rachel Freeman (Ethan); nephew, Ryan Lemley; and many extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William & Anna Schmeelk and Harold & Dorothy Hixson.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Hillside Chapel, 3515 Shakertown Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45430, with visitation beginning at 11:00am.

Jill will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery following the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SICSA, Puppies Behind Bars, or Hillside Chapel of Christian Missionary Alliance.
