Jewell Rebecca K. Pitts, age 91 of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 13, 2018. She was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on November 13, 1926. She retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.
Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Harold; parents, Daisy and Arthur Bailey and Orbin King. She is survived by her five children, Paul (Ann) Taylor, Brenda (Larry) Strutton, Patricia Pitts, Michael Pitts and Debra Newcomb, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was more precious than any Jewel.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
Jewell's family will greet visitors on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 6-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
