Jessie E. Whitt, a devoted father and beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, in Miamisburg, Ohio. He was born on March 28, 1942, in Taswell, Virginia, to Milburn and Edith (Collins) Whitt.

Jessie's career began at Focke's and Sons Co., where he dedicated numerous years to hard work and commitment. Following his retirement, he continued to serve his community by working at Publix in Naples, Florida. His strong work ethic was a hallmark of his character, as he always valued the contributions he made throughout his life.

Known for his vibrant personality, Jessie never met a stranger. He had a remarkable talent for striking up conversations with everyone he encountered, bringing warmth and camaraderie to those around him. His love for Alabama sports was well-known, and as an avid sports fan, he found joy in following his favorite teams. Jessie also adored the outdoors, reveling in the opportunities it provided for hunting and appreciating nature. His dogs, Buck and Sam, were his cherished companions and added joy to his everyday life.

Jessie's proudest accomplishments can be found in the love he had for his family. He is survived by his children, Eric (Susan) Whitt, Michelle Schneck, Beverly Ashley, Paul (Ina) Ashley, and Donny (Julie) Ashley. He also leaves behind grandchildren Abbie Schneck, Emma Schneck, Noah Schneck, Lindy Solow, Max (Angela) Solow, Ciarra (Aaron) Roesser, Paul Michael (Danielle) Ashley, Erin (Jesse) Garrett, and Jake (Jerica) Ashley, along with eight great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. Additionally, Jessie is survived by his sister, Wilma Miller, and numerous extended family members and friends who will carry on his legacy of kindness and community spirit.

Jessie is preceded in death by his previous wife, Lillie Whitt, his sister, Grace Salyers, his daughter, Marlene Ashley, and his parents. His family is grateful for the memories they shared and will remember him fondly for the love and laughter he brought into their lives.

As we reflect on the life of Jessie E. Whitt, we celebrate a man whose vibrant spirit and heartfelt connections leave a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
