Jessie James Carpenter

Jessie James Carpenter, age 91, of Kettering, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Jessie was born in Lunah, KY on April 17, 1927 to the late Daily & Josephine Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by 3 sisters; 2 brothers; and son-in-law, Carl Smith.

Jessie owned & operated JC's Window Cleaning Company for 25 years. He loved sports, the outdoors and most of all he loved his family.

Jessie is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Geraldine Carpenter; children, June (Gary) Isaacs, Debby Carpenter, Gail (Jim) Garcia, Robin (Rick) Lattimer, Jill (Mark) Goodwin, Mark (Lisa) Carpenter and Kelli Smith; grandchildren, Scott Isaacs, Tracy (Mark) Davell, Kristie (Todd) Hopf, Colby (Lorie) Garcia, Wendy (Brian) Frisbie, Lindsay (Devin) Neff, Casey Carpenter, Josh (Meredith) Goodwin, Alex (Sarah) Goodwin, Nathan (Sarah) Goodwin, Marissa (Colten Sibery) Goodwin, Jordan Carpenter, Jon (Tricia) Carpenter, Mark (Samantha Friedmann) Carpenter and Charity Smith; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Kathleen Milton; brother, Daily (Elva) Carpenter; sister-in-laws, Wanda (Ed) Brown and Judy (Attam) Singh; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 2-4pm at Newcomer South Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The service will follow at 4pm. Jessie will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery.
