Jerry Lee Yount, age 77, of Dayton passed away on October 30, 2024. He was born in Troy on July 3, 1947 to the late Betty Yount. In addition to his mother, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Sexton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gayle; sons, Steven (Karen) Yount, Christopher (Shannon) Yount; grandchildren, Sienna (Kyle) Everett, Nicholas (Amanda) Yount, Joe Yount, Jameson Cook, Brooklyn Yount, Jessica (Casey) Slack, Brandon (Logan) Gibson, James (Kirsten) Ollier, Ashley Ollier, Mitchell Ollier, Emily Ollier and great-grandchildren, Jasper Yount, Oliver Everett, Zion Slack, Nolan Slack, Lily Ollier, Emma Ollier and Owen Ollier, as well as two more on the way in 2025; along with many other family and friends.
Jerry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from Harrison Radiator Moraine after 30 years of employment. After retiring, he worked at American Business Forms for several years. He loved being a vendor at festivals, fairs and holiday shows selling his ice scrapers and bamboo socks. Jerry was often seen in his chair outside of the garage chatting with the neighbors. He was a lifetime member of the VFW #9927 in Kettering. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching The Young and the Restless with his wife. Jerry will be deeply missed and forever loved by those who knew him.

A Celebration of Jerry's Life will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Marion's Piazza, 711 Shroyer Rd in Dayton.
