Jerry W. Scarborough

Jerry W. Scarborough, a kind-hearted and generous soul, passed away on August 15, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 79. Born on December 8, 1945, in Twila, Kentucky, Jerry dedicated his life to his family, his work, and his faith in God.

After serving honorably in the U.S. Army as a member of the Signal Corps, Jerry embarked on a long and fulfilling career as a machinist at Durion, where he worked diligently for 30 years before retiring. His strong will and hardworking nature made him a provider for his family, a role he cherished deeply.

Jerry was known for his good sense of humor, which complemented his steadfast character. He had a great love for working on cars and shared his passion for music by playing the guitar for 60 years. A fan of classic cinema, he particularly enjoyed watching Clint Eastwood movies, which often sparked lively discussions and fond memories among family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Chris Scarborough (Sonya), and his beloved grandchildren: Jayden Scarborough, Khloe Scarborough, Jerry Harris, and McKinsey Harris. Jerry is also remembered by his brother, Stephen Priser, and his niece, Jennifer Priser. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Marilyn K. Scarborough, as well as his parents, Mary Priser and Pete Scarborough.

Jerry W. Scarborough will be remembered not just for his unwavering dedication to his family, but also for the lasting impact he made on all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of kindness, humor, and faith will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved.

A committal service for Jerry will begin at 12:00pm on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, 7217 National Road, in Brookville, Ohio.
