He was preceded in death by his parents John & Violet Flaherty.
He was retired from Peabody Coal Company & was currently employed by Securitas Security Services.
He is survived by his brother & sister-in-law Jack & Cleo Flaherty; niece Tammy Flaherty; nephews Shane Flaherty & Scott Flaherty & Scott's wife Kelly; great niece Jessica Waymire.
Visitation will be held from 1-2pm, Sun. Jan. 3 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton where a Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Sunday.
