Jerry Lynn Miller, born on April 16, 1954, in Surgoinsville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by the love of his family. He lived a life marked by simplicity and kindness, with a dry sense of humor that brought joy to those around him.

For 35 years, Jerry devoted himself to his career as a truck driver, navigating the open roads and forming connections with people from all walks of life. He took pride in his work and found fulfillment in the journeys he undertook. However, his true pride lay in his family. He was a loving husband to Teresa Miller for an incredible 50 years, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and endless memories.

Jerry was the proud father of three daughters: Sara (Michael) Collins, Amy (Arthur) Yarbrough, and Taylor (Matthew) Lange. His love for them knew no bounds, and he often shared that his greatest accomplishments were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. With every story shared and every fishing trip taken, he fostered deep connections that will be cherished for generations.

He was a devoted grandfather to Shelby Collins, Megan (Dakota) Kyle, and Marissa Collins, who brought light to his days. His role as a great-grandfather to Addison, Weston, and Remi filled his heart with joy and pride. Jerry's ability to connect with his loved ones created a legacy of richness in family traditions and bonds.

In addition to his family, Jerry found solace in his hobbies and interests, which included a passion for the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises, evenings filled with puzzles, the meticulous craft of building models, peaceful fishing trips, and nurturing his garden. These interests were reflective of his imaginative spirit and simple joys in life.

Jerry’s memory will be lovingly carried on by his special friends Chad and Tammy Monnin, along with a host of extended nieces, nephews, and friends who were fortunate enough to know him. He is now reunited with his parents Roy and Thelma Miller, as well as his siblings Kelsey "Pat" Miller, Roy Miller Jr., Daniel "Jack" Miller, Jim Miller, Kenneth Miller, Addie "Sis" Smith, Eva Higgins, JoAnne Horne, Brenda Morningstar, and Linda Hall, who all played a significant role in his life's journey.

As we remember Jerry, we celebrate a man whose kindness and patience knew no limits and whose laughter will forever echo in our hearts. His legacy will endure through the love he cultivated in his family and the many lives he touched. Jerry Lynn Miller will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will live on in every cherished memory.
