May 18, 1926 — February 26, 2016

HAMMERMEISTER, Jerome, age 89, lifelong resident of Beavercreek, passed away on February 26, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Elizabeth; brothers, Joe, Bud, Raymond, and Auggie; sisters, Maria, Edith, and Rita. Jerome is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ernestine; sons, Karl (Pat), George (Sara), and Tim (Carla); grandchildren, Jake, Sara, Luke, Garrett, Annie, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Avah, Liam, Elden, Ethan, and Emma; brother, Kenny; sister, Tootie, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the U.S.S. Hancock. Jerome was a member of the Carpenters Local 104 for 42 years. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville.
