Jerome J. Burdette

Jerome J. Burdette, age 58, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on February 27, 2024. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 29, 1965 to I.V. Burdette and Myrtle Preston.

Jerome was preceded in death by his father, I.V.; sister, Veronica; step-son, Norman; and beloved puppy, Spice. He is survived by his daughters, Latoya (Journey) McKinney and Kaija Slaughter; sons: Caron Beckham (Tomi) and Cavon Beckham; step-son, Storme Bush; grandchildren: Ja'Marion, Jaylin, Jordyn, Loyal, Lovelyn, and Laylah; significant other of 17 years, Lula Bush; mother, Myrtle Preston; step-father, Anthony Preston; brother and sisters; nephew, Gregory McCrary; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to thank the Curry family for their love and support.

Jerome was a contractor for many years, he was good with his hands and loved to work. He also loved to fish and loved music and dancing. He was an amazing Papaw to his grandkids. Jerome had a sense of style, he could always dress to impress. He loved to sit on his front porch and listen to music.
