Jennifer Marie Houtz

Jennifer Marie Houtz, age 47 of Dayton, Ohio passed away on September 1, 2026. She was born January 3, 1979 in Dayton, Ohio.

Our mom was a beautiful, bright soul who loved with her entire heart. She never met a stranger and always wished nothing but the best for everyone she crossed paths with. She found joy in the little things—the color purple, a cold can of Coca-Cola, butterflies, and the music of Mariah Carey—but above all, she cherished her children more than anything in the world.

She did her best with what life gave her, always carrying a strength that was uniquely her own. Through every chapter, she had the heart of a fighter and never stopped showing the world just how strong she could be.

Her love, her kindness, and the light she brought into the lives of those around her will remain with us forever. She was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Gary Houtz Sr.; brother, Gary Houtz Jr.; and maternal grandmother, Ella Kaye Noble.

She is survived by her children, Mariah (Landon) McGuffie, Marcedes (Shawn) Clouse, Mark Hunter, and Marrissa Hatton; mother, Sandra Collier; niece, Kayla Foust; nephew, Channing Houtz; uncle, Tony Noble; aunt, Nancy (Steve) Schiessler; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 6-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jennifer’s honor to Newcomer Funeral Home to assist with her funeral arrangements.
