Jeffrey D. Ott

Jeffrey D. "Jeff" Ott, 61, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2019.
He was born on November 30, 1957 to Larry and Margie (Wessel) Ott in Dayton, OH.
Jeff worked for Hewlett Packard for almost 20 years and worked presently at Globe Food Equipment. He was part-owner of Miami Valley Dart Supplies.
He enjoyed softball and many sports, especially golf and soft-tipped darts.
Jeff was a charter member and Commander of Sons of AMVETS, Post 2003. He coordinated many charitable events through AMVETS.
He married Retta Ann Ott (Schmid) on March 17, 1984.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Margie Ott, and his in-laws, Johnny and Aggie Schmid.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Retta; sister, Susan (Ed) Ross; brothers and sisters-in-law, Anita (John) Franz, Vern (Joy) Schmid, Ray (Debbie) Schmid, and Mark (Brenda) Schmid; cousin/bro, Bill (Toni) Gross; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 22, 2019, from 5 to 7 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd. Dayton, OH 45459).
Funeral services will immediately follow at 7 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to AMVETS Post 2003 in Kettering.
