Jeffrey Anthony Berry, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on April 5, 1961, in Troy, Ohio, Jeffrey was a man who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
Jeffrey graduated from Milton Union High School in the class of 1979, where he made lasting memories as an active participant in football, baseball, and wrestling, and also coached for many years. He continued his education at The Ohio State University, where he pursued a major in Physical Education, a testament to his passion for sports and nurturing young talents.
He began his career at Comair Airlines at the Dayton Airport, where he met the love of his life, Colleen, in 1994. This serendipitous encounter led to a lifelong partnership grounded in love and shared commitments. After his time at Comair, Jeffrey took on a new role with Martin Brower as an Inventory Control Specialist, from which he retired in June 2024. Throughout his career, Jeffrey was known for his hard work and dedication, traits that he carried into every aspect of his life.
Known for his loud and outgoing personality, Jeffrey had a contagious laughter that could light up any room. He was genuine, selfless, and always ready to lend a hand. His unwavering commitment to his family and friends was evident; he dedicated his life to spoiling his loving wife and children, Allison and Adam, whom he considered his proudest accomplishments. Jeffrey's love ran deep, and he cherished every moment spent with his family, whether it was hosting cookouts, grilling, or playing cornhole with neighbors. Saturdays in the fall were especially memorable, as he would rise early to prepare big breakfasts on Ohio State game days, a tradition that brought family and friends together.
Beyond his family life, Jeffrey's interests spanned a wide range; he held a deep love for Ohio State football, enjoyed landscaping and yard work, and found peace while fishing and hunting. His passion for sports was also reflected in how he practiced and coached his children, embodying the essence of a devoted father. Additionally, he had a fondness for country concerts and traveling, creating a lifetime of memories alongside his cherished family.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Colleen Berry; his children, Allison and Adam Berry; his siblings, Richard (Tammy) Berry, Julie (Doug) Studebaker, Jan (Dan) Baker, and Kelly Mote; and his nieces and nephews, Shannon, Tara, Carly, Whitney, Alex, and Lindsey. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Jon (Shannon) Flynn, along with their children, Brandon, Alyssa (Garrett) Woodyard, and Nathan, and his wonderful Orville Court family and their children.
He was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Joan Berry; his brother, Mike Berry; his brother-in-law, Tim Mote; his mother-in-law, Kathleen Flynn, and father-in-law, Michael Flynn.
