Jean E. Maurer

MAURER, Jean E., age 87 of Huber Heights, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2018. Jean was born in Dayton to the late Herbert and Mae Williamson. Jean graduated from Julienne High School. Jean went on to work for Standard Register. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Knights of Columbus #3730 and was a charter member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Huber Heights. Jean was an avid gardener and enjoyed crafting and bowling in her free time. Jean will be remembered for her kindness and ability to always have a joke and bring a smile to your face. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Donald J. Maurer; 4 brothers; and one sister.

Jean leaves to cherish her memory, sons; Donald J. Maurer and Michael J. Maurer; grandchildren; Kelly Palosaari; Michelle Hicks; and Katlyn Maurer; great-granddaughter, Maddison; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Newcomer - North Chapel from 4pm-6pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be held Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10am at St. Peter's Catholic Church - Huber Heights, OH
