Jean P. Bicknell, age 88, of Centerville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 18, 2016.
Jean was born on November 22, 1928 in Jackson County, KY to the late Bill & Cora Parrett.
Jean worked for the Veterans Administrations Office for 30 years, where she retired. She was a devoted follower of Christ and a lifelong Kentucky basketball fan.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald R. Bicknell; sisters, Ellen King, Verna Davidson, Opal Riley, Hazel Angel, Mae Simpson, Beatrice Tussey and Bernice Rose and brothers, Foyster and Carl Parrett.
Jean is survived by her sons, Mark (Tammy) Bicknell and Jeff (Beth) Bicknell; grandchildren, Bill (Brandy) Bicknell, Ben Bicknell, Chelsea (Travis) McLaughlin, Robert Bicknell and Paul Bicknell; great-granddaughters, Katherine, Suzie and Emma; sister, Margie (Elmer) Green and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering Blvd. Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11am. Jean will be laid to rest next to her husband, Donald, at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
