J.D. Jones, age 88 of Dayton, passed away February 11, 2013. He was born January 24, 1925 in Cookeville, TN to the late Thomas and Fannie Jones. In addition to his parents, J.D. was preceded in death by his wife, Renae Jones; son, Ron Jones; sister, Christine McNeal; and brother, Ernest Jones.
J.D. is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John and Stephanie Jones; daughter-in-law, Red Jones; grandchildren: John Michael Jones, Zachariah Jones and Dana (Stephanie) Jones; great granddaughter, Kara Jones; and brother, Charles (Terri) Jones.
J.D was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII. He worked for many years at Hewitt Company, and spent most of his retirement years in Tennessee where he grew up.
