Jay Michael Williams, 39, passed away on August 25, 2024, in Richmond, VA. Born May 30, 1985, in Dayton, OH and a graduate of Centerville High School, he dedicated 15 years of service to the United States Air Force. At the time of his death, he had achieved the rank of Technical Sergeant. Over the course of his career, he was stationed at Keesler AFB, MS; Scott AFB, IL; Asheville, NC; Fort Hood, TX; Fort Huachuca, AZ, as well as time deployed in Germany. A highlight of his career was forecasting weather for the flights over Normandy on the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.
He is survived by his wife, Leah; children, Marshall and Cordelia "Coco"; parents, Carol and Kelly Williams; brothers, Kelly Williams (Ryan Pitchford), Forrest (Jen) Williams, and Nathan (Meredith) Williams; along with numerous nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
In addition to Jay's commitment to his country, he was devoted to his family and adored his two children immensely. He also thoroughly enjoyed cooking, Earth sciences, hiking, and was an Eagle Scout and outdoor enthusiast. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
