Jason L. Williamson, born on October 7, 1973, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on November 7, 2025. He lived a life fueled by his passion for tennis and marked by relationships that left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
As a devoted tennis instructor at Schroeder Tennis Center in Tipp City, Jason wasn’t just a coach; he was a mentor and a passionate advocate for the sport. His enthusiasm for tennis resonated through every clinic he led and every junior he guided. He played competitively in USTA leagues, where his spirit and drive were contagious. Many players recall not just the technical skills he imparted, but also the way he made tennis enjoyable, always armed with encouraging words and a smile that lit up the court.
Jason's contributions to the tennis community transcended mere instruction. He created bonds and fostered a sense of camaraderie that turned the Schroeder Tennis Center into a welcoming home for players of all ages. His presence brought energy and positivity that will surely be missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.
Outside of tennis, Jason was known for his kindness and generosity. He was a loyal friend who cherished his connections. He loved watching football, particularly Ohio State and the New England Patriots, eagerly sharing his thoughts about the games with his father, Jack, afterwards.
Jason is survived by his father, Jack (Carolyn Kay Castrol) Williamson; his mother, Sharon (James) Batin; his girlfriend, Monica Malcein; his aunts, Sue Williamson and Gail Janney; his uncle, Jim Williamson; cousins Brent, Travis, and Michael; and countless friends who feel his loss deeply. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Kay & Jack Williamson and Glen & Viola Blair.
Jason Williamson’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those he inspired, and the community he helped build. His dedication and spirit will continue to resonate within the walls of the tennis center and beyond, reminding us all of the joy in both competition and companionship.
