Jason M. Peavler, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and skilled painter, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, at Atrium Medical Center after a courageous battle with an illness. Born on March 14, 1972, in Dayton, Ohio, Jason’s life was marked by an indomitable spirit, a vibrant personality, and a dedication to both his family and his craft.
Jason attended Stebbins High School. He had a strong work ethic, a lively sense of humor, and a relentless drive to learn and grow. Throughout his career, he showcased his talent as a painter, employed by John Henry Painting, while also working alongside his son, Lonnie, on additional projects. He was a perfectionist, and his craft was not only a profession, but a testament to his self-made character, as he took pride in providing for his family through hard work and determination.
Those who knew Jason will remember him for his incredible sense of humor and his animated, sometimes stubborn yet mellow nature. From a young age, his mischievous spirit and contagious personality brought joy and laughter to all who gathered around him. Jason was especially gifted in doing impressions of anyone, a talent that never failed to amuse and entertain his circle of family and friends. He was never one to sit still; his love for learning and discovering new things kept him engaged and motivated throughout his life.
In his leisure time, Jason was passionate about rock ‘n’ roll music and enjoyed attending concerts, immersing himself in the live energy and rhythm of his favorite bands. He also took great pride in working on cars and dedicating countless hours to renovating his home. However, above all his interests, his greatest joy was his family—whom he cherished dearly.
Jason’s family remembers him lovingly as a man with a big heart whose presence enriched their lives immeasurably. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, April Michele Peavler; his children, Kara (Josh) Schwieterman, Lonnie J. Peavler, and Lincon Peavler; and his grandchildren, Noah and Aubree Schwieterman, and Hadleigh Peavler. He will also be deeply missed by his mother, Vicki Peavler (John) Beaulieu; his sister, Alexandria (Greg) Vozel; his aunts, Sheila (Jimmy) Colombotti and Kimberly (Darrell) Ash; cousins Christopher Mantia, Rick Mantia, and Nick Yedlosky; brother-in-law Michael (Elizabeth) Phipps; mother-in-law April Mathis; as well as numerous extended relatives and many cherished friends.
Jason was predeceased by his grandparents, Lonnie and Ida Peavler, and his father-in-law, Mike Phipps.
His loving family recalls how Jason fought with unwavering strength and resolve during his final months. After spending a month in intensive care, he remained steadfast until the very end, passing peacefully surrounded by those who loved him most.
Jason M. Peavler's legacy is one of resilience, humor, and heartfelt devotion. His influence will be felt by all whose lives he touched, and his memory will live on in the warmth and laughter he so freely shared. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with respect and love.
