Janice Revonda Halcomb, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, transitioned peacefully from this world on August 5, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on June 7, 1943, in Kyles Ford, Tennessee, Janice’s spirit was as vibrant as the Tennessee hills that surrounded her in her youth. She spent 24 years dedicated to her career at Dayton Progress, embodying a fierce work ethic and an unwavering loyalty that would define her life.
Janice carried with her the essence of her late father, Tal Livesay, and mother, Freda Hundley, alongside the memories of her brother, Bill Jr., and recently her sister, Brenda Hill. Together, these family ties shaped her into the remarkable woman she became—one who took immense pride in her family. She leaves behind a loving son, Kevin Halcomb, who marked the beginning of her legacy. Her grandchildren, Brittany Wright and Christopher Halcomb, along with her great-granddaughters, Siera Halcomb, Acely Wright, and Miley Wright, and great-grandson, Brayden Wright, brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
Janice had a zest for life that echoed through her enjoyment of dancing with friends in her younger days. An avid traveler, she created wonderful memories in the many years exploring the energy of Las Vegas, soaking in the laughter shared with her friends. Beyond the slot machines and lively card games that delighted her, she gathered with extended family during warm reunions that celebrated their bond.
A steadfast fan of live music, Janice held a special place in her heart for the electrifying performances of Elvis Presley and Tom Jones, songs that intertwined with the rhythm of her life. Those fortunate enough to know her remembered her fiercely loyal nature and the dependable love she offered, always ready to lend a helping hand.
