Janet Lou Wolfe

Janet Lou Wolfe, age 90, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 3rd, 2026. She was born in Athens, Ohio, in 1935, to Paul and Muriel Darby.

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Richard Wolfe, and her brother, David Darby. She is survived by her children, Julie Miller, Rob Wolfe, and Lucinda (John) Sopczak; her grandchildren, Michael (Christii) Miller, Rachel (Aaron) George, Matthew Sopczak, Christopher Sopczak, Abbey Wolfe, Haley Wolfe, Chelsey (Ryan) Wolfe, and Jared (Kiersten) Wolfe; her great‑grandchildren, Elizabeth (Josh) and Kyle (Hannah) Miller, Aaliyah, Aubrey, and Henry George; and her great‑great‑grandchildren, Carter and Callie Brooks.

Janet lived a full and vibrant life as a devoted military wife. She loved traveling the world with her husband during his time in the Air Force, creating many cherished memories along the way. She loved to entertain, host gatherings, and make everyone feel welcome. Known for her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit, she touched countless lives and created lasting memories for all who knew her. She had a great sense of humor and a sweet, trusting spirit that endeared her to everyone who knew her. She was always positive and honest and She loved spending time with all her Grandchildren.

Janet will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

Donations may be made in Janet's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.

Visitation will be held from 10:30am-11:30am, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:30am. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton.
