Janet Lorraine Dovayak

Janet Lorraine Dovayak, age 91, of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, in Ohio. Born on February 16, 1934, in Colorado, Janet radiated warmth and affection throughout her life. She was loving and caring to all who knew her. Janet was deeply devoted to her family, cherishing the moments spent with them.

Janet is survived by her two sons, John (Vicki) Dovayak and Tracy Dovayak; grandchildren, Joshua Dovayak, Tara Dovayak, and Joe Dovayak; great-grandson, Tyler (Katlynn) Dovayak; sisters, Josephine Shepherd and Shirley Pappas; alongside numerous extended family members and friends who will remember her fondly.

Janet was a devoted mother and grandmother, dedicating her life to raising and supporting her children. She adored her pets, finding happiness with her cats and dogs. In her free time, Janet could be found gardening in her flower beds around her home. What she loved the most was spending time with her family, who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine (Valikaneye) Tomsich; beloved husband, John Dovayak; daughter, Valerie Dovayak; and brother, John Tomsich.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 1:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering. Family and friends may visit from 12:00PM until the time of service. Janet will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, John, at Evergreen Cemetery.
