Jan Susan Andrew, maiden: Loughrea, passed away on October 25, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on December 22, 1953, Jan lived a life marked by compassion, devotion, and a steady, loving presence that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jan led her life to passionately serving others. She started her career in nursing by working in the Emergency Department and the Nursery, and then found her true calling when she began working as a hospice nurse, offering comfort and care to patients and families during life’s most tender and difficult moments. Her work was a true expression of who she was: selfless and kind, always putting others first. Caring and loving by nature. She was the embodiment of what it means to have a hospice heart. She gave of herself generously, and those closest to her knew her as a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Outside of her work, Jan enjoyed reading mystery and thriller books, finding pleasure in stories that kept her turning pages late into the evening. Yet the greatest joy of her life, and her proudest accomplishment, was her grandchildren. They were at the center of her heart and a lasting source of happiness and pride.

Jan is survived by her sons, Evan (Elizabeth) Andrew and Jordan (Jessica) Andrew. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Owen, Noah, Kinley, Easton, Jensen, Joanna, Juliana, and Jude Andrew. She is survived by her brother, Edward (Allison) Loughrea. In the love of her family, Jan’s legacy continues warmly and brightly, carried forward by the generations she cherished so deeply.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Andrew, and by her parents, Edward Loughrea and Adeline McElroy.

Jan will be remembered for the tenderness she brought to her work, the love she poured into her family, and the kindness that shaped her everyday life. Her memory will remain a blessing to those who were fortunate enough to be cared for by her, loved by her, and called family.
