Dad and mom together again.
It is a sad time for our family, but we rejoice in knowing our father, grandfather and great grandfather entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
Jim was 90 of Beavercreek, Ohio. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 2, 1926. Standing at the gates of Heaven to welcome her husband home wife, Maxine and his parents, Katherine and William Oliver
Mourning his passing his son, Larry (Betty Lou) Oliver of Xenia; daughter, Lisa (Tim) Ankeney of Xenia, daughter, Phyllis (Hubert) Abney of Beavercreek; grandchildren, Trevor (Dawn) Oliver, Lindsay Copfer, Corey Oliver, Jon, Jeff Abney, D.J. Ankeney; great grandchildren, Tyler, T.J. and Bailey Oliver; Tyler, Hunter, Carson Abney all mourning the loss of Papaw.
Jim was a faithful Christian knowing Jesus as his personal Savior. His family takes comfort and trust in the Word of God that he is with his Lord. While we will miss his earthly body we are comforted in knowing we will see him again. He was a faithful member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the family wishes to thank Pastor Mark Carlson and Greg Earley for their Christian support.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4865 Wilmington Pike, Kettering Ohio 45450 on Monday, October 17, 2016. The viewing will be from 9 am to 11 am with the service following. Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle Five Points Road, Centerville, Ohio 45458.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Jim's name.
