James L. Saskowsky, age 85, formerly of Miami Township, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017.
James was born in Dayton, OH on May 11, 1932 to the late Walter & Helen Saskowsky. James proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty Saskowsky; siblings, Jane Saskowsky, Jerome "Jerry" Saskowsky, Janet (Jack) Irons, Walter "Chuck" (Audrey) Saskowsky Jr. and Marjorie Saskowsky.
James is survived by his children, Theresa (Kenneth) Weissman and Timothy (Birgit Andrich) Saskowsky; grandchildren, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Weissman, Kristopher (Lauren) Weissman, Lucas Saskowsky and James Saskowsky; great-granddaughters, Clara, Amelia and Anna Weissman and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 10-11am at Newcomer South Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. The service will follow at 11am. James will be laid to rest with his wife, Betty at Calvary Cemetery.
Donations may be made in James's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
