James S. Elliott, born on July 30, 1944, in the small town of Greenfield, Ohio, peacefully left this world on November 12, 2025. As the founder of Elliott Plumbing, James embraced a life dedicated to service and craftsmanship, building a legacy that many in the community came to rely on.

With a personality that could best be described as lovably ornery, James had a knack for bringing smiles to those around him. He was a character—a rascal at heart, whose antics often kept family and friends on their toes. He understood life’s simple pleasures, whether it was tinkering away in his garage or rooting for his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals as they battled it out on the football field. His passion for NASCAR brought him countless hours of joy as he enthusiastically cheered for his favorite drivers.

James served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, and his commitment to service extended beyond the military to both his profession and his family life. He cherished his wife of 40 years, Sharon, who stood by him through thick and thin. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his children Keith and Marty, step-children Jimmy, Janet, Joan, Judi, and John, sister Linda Miller, and his best friend Steve Howard, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Martha Elliott, and siblings Tom and Faye.

James will be laid to rest with full military honors at Dayton National Cemetery-date and time will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

As we remember James S. Elliott, let us celebrate his life filled with laughter, love, and the warmth he brought to everyone he met. His spirit will linger in the garages where he tinkered, the football fields he cheered upon, and, most importantly, in the hearts of his family and friends who will carry his memory fondly as they navigate life’s paths ahead.
