James S. Anderson

November 18, 1930 — April 13, 2016

James S. Anderson, 85, of Dayton, passed away peacefully April 13, 2016. James was born in Woodridge, Tennessee on September 18, 1930 to the late Albert and Ellen Anderson.

James retired from General Motors after more than 25 years of service. He was a proud member of the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. In his free time, he enjoyed working on cars, play the guitar and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his siblings, Sarah Campbell, Chester (Gladys) Anderson, Charles Albert Anderson, Eva Anderson.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorraine Anderson; son, Jim (Beth) Anderson; sister in law, Frances Anderson; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at St. Helen Parish, 605 Granville Place, Riverside, Ohio 45431 at 10:00 am with Father David Brinkmoeller officiating.

Memorial donations can be made in the form of flowers or to The American Lung Association.
